Forensic Audit Meeting A Special Meeting of the Manatee County School Board will be held next Thursday, February 21, 2013, to allow the public, Audit Committee members and the School Board to ask questions to Navigant and Trenam Kemper officials concerning results released recently of a forensic audit of the school district´s finances. The Special Meeting will be held in the Manatee County Commission Chambers located on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Building at 1112 Manatee Avenue West. The meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. and is scheduled to be broadcast live via Manatee Government Access (MGA) which can be seen locally on Bright House channel 622, Verizon channel 30 and Comcast channel 20. A live stream can also be seen at www.mymanatee.org/mga While questions will be taken from the audience at the meeting, the public is encouraged to submit questions in advance to ensure all concerns are covered and to avoid duplication. Citizens can submit questions by going to the school district´s website at www.manateeschools.net, look under “Hot Topics” and find the email link to navigant@manateeschools.net. Submit your email, and it will be forwarded to School Board members prior to the meeting. Forensic Audit Documents Below are links to electronic copies of the documents collected and created by Navigant (auditors) and Trenam Kemker (law firm) during the recent forensic audit of the Manatee County School District. On each page, you are provided two options for accessing the documents: 1. You may click the link near the top of the page to download a .ZIP file containing all documents. Selecting this option will save all documents to your local computer for review offline. This option works well for Windows.based PCs or any computer that can expand .ZIP files.; or 2. You may click any branch of the file directory tree by clicking the [+] icon to expand each section. Then, click the link to view the individual documents of your choice. This option will work with any device capable of browsing the web. Note: some documents are very large and may take many minutes to download. Documents with large file sizes are identified in the clickable links. Handheld devices may not be an effective option for accessing these large files depending on the capacity of your device and your connection speed.
