“Communication is the key to success...”
The mission of the Volunteer Program of the School District of Manatee County is to increase student achievement through community involvement by matching willing individuals time, talents and resources to school and student needs.
Volunteers are members of the community such as parents, senior citizens or business professionals that are welcomed to share their knowledge with students in areas such as reading, math, computers, music, art, athletics and professional experience. They can also accompany classes on field trips, assist in the school office, media center or the classroom. No special skills are needed - just a little time and the desire to make a difference in a child´s life. Teachers, staff and students value the time and talents of volunteers. Every year over 100,000 hours are donated by over 4,200 volunteers!
The best hour spent is the one that is given away. Make a difference...VOLUNTEER and change tomorrow today!
How can I become a volunteer and make a difference in Manatee County Schools?
