One of the primary responsibilities of the Community and Press Relations Office is to keep the public informed of important events, accomplishments and announcements concerning the Manatee County School District. The most direct way this is accomplished is by producing and distributing press releases which are sent to area media outlets. During the last two school years, the Community and Press Relations Office has disseminated more than 250 press releases to media members including newspapers ( daily and weekly) and television stations across the entire Tampa Bay area. In addition to media outlets, Manatee District press releases are sent to School Board members, district leaders and administrators and key community partners such as the Manatee Education Foundation and the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce.
