Influenza Outbreak Information

The Manatee County Health Department has advised us to emphasize the importance of handwashing among our student and employee populations and to follow the preventive measures shown below.

1. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after use;

2. Wash your hands with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective;

3. Avoid close contact with anyone who appears sick;

4. If you get sick, stay home from work or school, and limit contact with others; and

5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
