TAMPA BAY RAYS CELEBRATE PARTNERSHIP (Bradenton, FL - April 25, 2008) When the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox play the Tampa Bay Rays at St. Petersburg´s Tropicana Field on Saturday, April 26, 2008, the Rays will celebrate a partnership with the Manatee District that benefits both organizations. The evening is being billed as “Manatee Schools Night with the Rays.” District employees and their families scooped up over 1,300 tickets for the ballgame which begins at 7:10 p.m. Through the partnership agreement with the Rays, the ticket sales helped generate more than $5,000 for Manatee District Schools. In honor of the evening, Manatee District Superintendent Dr. Roger Dearing will toss out the first pitch, and nine school-related District Employees of the Year will be recognized at the game. Good luck Rays, beat the Red Sox. ### |
