FIRST-YEAR TEACHERS HONORED AT (Bradenton, FL. - February 26, 2008) First-year teachers will receive support, encouragement and thanks for their hard work so far this school year when the Manatee District holds its “New Teacher Celebration” on Thursday, February 28, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Leatherman Auditorium on the west campus of Manatee Technical Institute. MTI's west campus is located at 5603 34th Avenue West in Bradenton. Hosted by the Manatee Education Foundation and the district's Department of Professional Development, the New Teacher Celebration gives first-year teachers across Manatee County the chance to visit with each other and to hear from school district leaders such as Superintendent Dr. Roger Dearing, Foundation Director Mary Glass and Tammy Evans, Director of Professional Development.
