GET A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE AT THE LOCKHEED MARTIN REGIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR
(Bradenton, FL. - January 18, 2008) Inquisitive and enterprising local students in grades 6 through 12 will be competing for awards and prizes at the Lockheed Martin Manatee Regional Science and Engineering Fair to be held during the Manatee County Fair, January 17-24, 2008.
Over 250 students, representing winners from area middle and high schools, will present their science research projects at the fair to be judged by more than 40 members of the local scientific community. The judging will take place on Monday and Tuesday, January 21-22,
from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Awards will be presented at “Center Stage - C” at the fairgrounds on Thursday, January 24, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Students participating in the science and engineering fair will compete for awards in 14 different categories with the top award resulting in an opportunity to compete in the Society of Science and the Public, International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta, Georgia, May 11-17, 2008.
