MANATEE DISTRICT ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR (Bradenton, FL - March 10, 2008) Parents can register their child for kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year during the Manatee District´s annual “Kindergarten Roundups” at elementary schools across the county. A list of dates and times for Kindergarten Roundups at specific schools will be sent out as an attachment to this release. Kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year is available to students who are 5 years old on or before September 1, 2008. To register, parents or guardians are asked to provide the child´s birth certificate, a physical examination certificate (within the past 12 months), a Florida Certificate of Immunization and proof of residency. To prove residency, parents or guardians may provide one of the following: a current electric or water bill showing the address and name of the parent or guardian, a current lease agreement with the name of the parent or guardian, or an official letter from the company providing housing that contains the parent or guardian´s name. Teachers and school staff will be available to answer questions and provide additional information at each of the individual roundups. ### |
