Mr. Miner has served as Governor of the Florida Association of School Advisory Councils for Region IV (13 Counties), State Wide Director of the Florida Coalition for Assessment Reform, member of FAIRTEST, and primary author of the “Truth in Testing - Parents´ Right to Know Act” and the “Taxpayers´ Right to Know Act”. Dave has testified before the Florida Senate Education Committee on assessment reform legislation.
Mr. Miner has also have been named “Children´s Advocate of the Year”. “Father of the Year”. “Drum Major for Justice”. and “Florida Sunshine Brigade Hero”. I have been a Big Brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister program.
He has also served as President-elect of the Anna Maria Island Kiwanis Club, and is a Marine Vietnam Veteran and lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, and the Marine Corps League.
