Agenda Item #41 Title Approval to Renew the School Health Services Plan for 2006-2008 (Revised) Description Every two years the District must approve an updated School Health Services Plan. The School Health Services Act, s. 381.0056, F.S., mandates the completion of a School Health Services Plan to provide an organized system for planning and reporting on all school health services, regardless of funding sources. The law requires that this plan be collaboratively developed by the Manatee County Health Department and the local school district.
School district health personnel have worked collaboratively with the Manatee County Health Department staff to identify the health needs of school-age children. Based on those needs, a School Health Services Plan has been developed to facilitate the establishment of local strategies that implement activities mandated by law to improve the health of The School Health Services Plan outlines the activities of the school health services based on Florida State Statutes. The services outlined will be provided by current clinic staff. The 2005-2006 Annual School Health Services report is provided for informational purposes.

Any person who desires to appeal any decision made by the School Board with respect to any matter considered at the above-mentioned meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which an appeal may be based. School Board meetings are held in accessible locations. Auxiliary aids will be provided, upon written request received at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, to participants with disabilities. |
