Title
Approval of the Waiver of Contract Language for Bashaw Elementary School Through the End of the 2006-2007 School Year (Revised)

Description

Article V, Section IV of the Teachers’ Negotiated Agreement between the School Board and the Manatee Education Association provides for waivers of the contract language provided there is agreement on the part of 75% of the affected teachers, the School Board, and Management.  The Fine Arts Teachers at Bashaw Elementary School have requested their planning time to be divided into two times.  This is to help them prepare for the afternoon primary classes.  Their time would then be 8:45 – 9:05 and 11:20 – 11:45 for planning.

 

The waiver is provided for in the negotiated agreement; has been requested and approved by the teachers and administration at the affected school; and has been approved by the Executive Committee of the Manatee Education Association.

 

The Superintendent recommends approval of the waiver of the contract language for Bashaw Elementary School through the end of the 2006-2007 school year.

Motion and approval of the waiver of the contract language for Bashaw Elementary School through the end of the 2006-2007 school year.
