    Mr. Swann is starting his 6th year at Braden River.  Previously, Mr. Swann served as an academic advisor in higher education at Argosy University for roughly 5 years where he also earned his Master of Arts degree in School Counseling.  He is certified with the Florida Department of Education as a K-12 School Counselor as well.  Before that, Mr. Swann earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.  Mr. Swann hopes to bring a sense of empowerment to the student body by helping them realize they can be great in whatever endeavor they choose.

    Mrs. Lawlor is starting her 15th year with the Manatee County Schools.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Career & Technical Education from Rhode Island College in 2006 and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Argosy University in 2010.  Mrs. Lawlor is currently certified with the Department of Education as a K-12 School Counselor and Engineering Teacher.   She is thrilled to be part of Pirate Nation and helping students meet their greatest potential.  She is here to help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal & social development, and ensure today’s students become productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

    Mrs. Bowling has been a proud member of the Pirate Nation since 2007 and she was lucky enough to participate in the first graduation ceremony in school history.  Prior to working at BRHS, Mrs. Bowling earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Eckerd College and her Master of Arts degree in Guidance Counseling from Argosy University.  She is currently certified with the Florida Department of Education as a K-12 School Counselor and she has also successfully completed the Clinical Educator Training with the School District of Manatee County.  Mrs. Bowling feels her purpose as a school counselor is to foster a partnership with students, parents, and teachers to ensure that every student has a plan for his or her future and access to the resources necessary to accomplish these goals.
