To Prepare for SWH Week
- Ms. Collett, Ms. Hart, & Ms. Kern meet weekly about Sandy Hook projects
- Assistant Principal Hart and Principal Barlaug ordered Sandy Hook Shirts and bracelets for the Administrative Team
- Ms. Kern visited AVID classrooms to inform about the SAVE Promise Club
- AVID became the SAVE Promise Club for Haile MS
- AVID created signs to place all around the school to inform students of the initial SAVE Promise Club meeting that took place on 9/25 during Homeroom
- Assemblies for Start With Hello by grade level were done on Monday 9/16
- Invited local newspaper and television coverage to the SWH assemblies
- Posted pictures to our school Instagram account and the District's Communications Department
Start With Hello Week and Future Activities- Placed a kindness board in common area for all students, staff, and school community members to place handwritten notes
- Reach Out Scavenger Hunt getting to know others during homeroom
- No one eats alone day (Setting the date soon!)
- Getting To Know Me day during homeroom (Setting the date soon!)
- 5 W Icebreaker during homeroom
- School wide Handwritten Note Day (Setting the date soon!)
- PTO will conduct a Sandy Hook Online Fundraiser for T-shirts and bracelets
- Ordering a Sandy Hook Banner to hang at Haile
- Created "smile" walls in homeroom to use throughout the day with all students and staff
- Multicultural Greetings in homeroom
