Going to Third Grade
Dear Willis Families,
We are excited to share with you that we will be having a Gecko Summer Reading Challenge. Every child in grades K-4 will receive a reading log to complete this summer and return to school in August. Children who choose to participate and come back to school with their completed log will have the opportunity to join in the fun at PE with a popsicle party. A printed version of the reading log can be found in your child’s brown bag with their items that you picked up from school.
Below you will also find some resources we recommend you use with your child to keep their math and reading skills sharp over the summer. We hope your children find them to be a fun learning opportunity.
We will also be uploading an optional Summer Skills packet for each grade level onto our website for you to utilize. The web address is www.manateeschools.net/willis. These are like the packets we have sent home with our students in years past. The Summer Skills packets are under the Academics tab.
We hope everyone is safe and healthy! We wish you all a great summer break!
Sincerely,
Willis Staff
