AIM’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Over the course of the year, students will participate in activities such as:
- Weekly tutorial sessions
- College field trips (i.e. USF Sarasota)
- College and career research projects
- Guest speakers
- Community service
Throughout the year, AIM students learn organizational and study skills, work on critical thinking and asking higher level questions, get academic help from peers, and participate in motivational activities that make college seem attainable. As students progress in AIM, they become academically successful leaders and role models for other students.
