Welcome to Parrish Community High School! This page is full of information for our registered incoming Bulls. If you haven't registered yet, visit our registration page.
Homeroom
On the first day of school, students will report to homeroom and receive their schedules. Homerooms are organized by grade and last name. There will be plenty of signs posted around campus, and a small army of adults to answer student questions. Click here for the list!
Schedules
Student schedules will be distributed during homeroom. No schedules will be distributed before the first day of school. Parents, we realize this may be different than what you've experienced in the past, but we work right up until the first day to ensure schedules are as correct as possible. Students will meet with their counselors at lunch during the first week of school if any changes to the schedule need to be made.
Lunch
Breakfast is still free for all students at all schools, but...
The USDA made it possible for school nutrition programs to serve all students free lunch through "waivers." Congress did not extend these waivers for the upcoming school year, so we will go back to regularly priced lunch. The cost is $3.00 for high school students. For more info, visit www.manateeschoolfood.net.
School Bus Transportation
Is your student planning on riding a school bus? In order to control bus capacities and keep our students safe, all students must register and be assigned to a bus, prior to riding. Each student in your family should be individually registered online. Visit the transportation website to register your student.
Bell Schedule
PCHS uses a modified block schedule to maximize student learning. Monday is a "skinny day," with all seven classes meeting. Tuesday and Thursday are "even days." First period meets for an hour, then 2nd, 4th, and 6th meet for 100 minutes. Wednesday and Friday are "odd days," with 1st period meeting for an hour, followed by 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods. Click here for a bell schedule.
Student Handbook
Our student handbook has been updated for the 2022-23 school year. Students will receive a copy of this handbook during the second week of school at their class meeting. If you want to see what's new, and don't want to wait, click here to download a copy.
