Graduating senior designs Manatee County's new "I Voted" sticker
A graduating senior from Manatee High School (MHS) designed the winning 2022 "I Voted" sticker for Manatee County.
Supervisor of Elections Mike Bennett announced Johanna Romero-Capula's patriotic manatee will adorn 300,000 stickers this fall.
Voters will receive a sticker when participating in Manatee County elections in August and November.
Romero-Capula completed her entry while a student in Jose Salas' Digital Design class at MHS.
Students from Palmetto and Parrish Community High Schools also submitted their designs.
"I extend sincere thanks to each Manatee County high school student whose strong motivation and creativity led them to participate in this fun and challenging contest," Bennett said. "I would like to take this opportunity to remind students and staff that residents may pre-register to vote any time after their 16th birthday."
Eligible voters who register will receive their official Voter Information Card upon their 18th birthday.
