Letter from Dr. Grimes

Dear Johnson Staff & Community,

As your new principal, I am genuinely elated to have the opportunity to lead and collaborate with such a talented and dedicated team at Louise R. Johnson K-8 School of International Studies. With over 21 years of experience in educational leadership, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for fostering academic excellence and nurturing the growth and development of every student. I believe strongly in the importance of building strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community so that everyone feels valued and respected.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a school principal at both Freedom and R.H. Prine Elementary schools. In these roles, I've consistently focused on driving positive change and achieving measurable results in student achievement. By aligning our objectives with district strategies, administering budgets effectively, and implementing high-impact educational programs, we've been able to create a culture of success where students are empowered to reach their full potential.

In addition to my experience in school leadership, I have a strong background in curriculum development, staff management, and student engagement strategies. I am committed to staying abreast of the latest educational trends and best practices to ensure that Louise R. Johnson remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as your principal and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you as we embark on this exciting journey together. Together, I am confident that we can make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of our students and the success of our school!

With gratitude,

Dr. Grimes
