(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Even though it’s summer, some LRHS students have a bit of prep work to do for 2024-25.
Summer assignments are posted for a few advanced LRHS courses.
Mustangs who plan to take Advanced Placement (AP) calculus, statistics or AP Seminar must complete their work before school resumes in August.
LRHS Language Arts teacher Jennifer Grant said summer assignments can effectively prepare students for the rigors of advanced classes.

“The summer assignment is designed to familiarize students with key concepts in AP Seminar and allows me to gain a baseline understanding of students' abilities,” she said. “The fun part of the assignment is that it's entirely student-driven as the students will research any problem they are interested in and then write an essay.”
Summer assignments can be found under the “Academics” tab on the school’s website.
The 2024-25 school year is scheduled to begin Aug. 12.
