(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) - Motivation during senior year is an important aspect of getting through the second semester.
Now that quarter three is coming to an end Seniors often have a common issue of catching the disease of senioritis. “Symptoms” may include a lack of attention in class, failure to turn in assignments, and an increase in absences at school.
Although this disease may be extremely hard for seniors to overcome, there are ways to stay motivated and care about school for the rest of the year.
Staying on track with your courses ensures an amazing experience before and after graduation.
LRHS senior Christian Pinder commented, “When I think about making my family proud it pushes me to turn in my assignments and pass my classes.”

Graduation is a major accomplishment, and senioritis shouldn’t get in the way of you reaching your goals.
“Going to the gym and putting my time and effort into activities that benefit me, give me motivation to succeed,” said LRHS senior Caroline Johnson.
Senioritis isn’t unique to LRHS.
Senior Victoria Portal from Bradenton Christian School said, “The one thing that keeps me motivated for the remainder of the school year is that I will be able to make so many memories and participate in fun activities with my senior class.”
Staying involved and making routines can benefit every senior as the year is coming to an end. Don't let senioritis ruin your chances of having a smooth end to high school.
