Ranch reflections - Senior wishes she could experience old times

Bella Moscone – Mustangs Ahead

vintage(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -  As someone who is fascinated by everything old and vintage, there are some things I wish I would be able to experience, that would be considered outdated now.

Writing letters and mailing them out is considered insignificant now, when communication is all done through email, or text. However, I find this concept so meaningful and fun. Sending letters to loved ones, or friends then expecting a letter back a few days later has always seemed exciting to me.

To be able to live a life without relying on my cellular device is another thing that I wish I would’ve been able to experience.

While having quick and easy communication is convenient, I do believe that it takes a lot away from the experience going out with friends and tends to cause distractions and take away from time spent with friends.

Another thing I wish I would’ve been able to experience is going to a drive in movie. While many are still around today, they don’t seem to play many old, classic movies.

Going to a drive in movie, and seeing a screening of a modern movie, rather than a classic doesn’t give me the same nostalgic feeling I wish I would’ve been able to experience.

Even though these are things I can still somewhat be able to experience today, new technology has evolved in a way that makes communication too available, and drive-in movies insignificant.
