Class of '25 considering college roommate options

 Isabel Neeb – Mustangs Ahead

college(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – College-bound Mustangs are discovering the stress of finding college roommates.

With deadlines approaching and housing applications due, the pressure to secure a compatible living situation can feel overwhelming.

Senior Madison Romito recalls the challenges she faced when searching for a roommate.

“It took me a while to find mine, and it was stressful in the moment, but posting yourself on the school Instagram pages does help,” she said.

Many students turn to social media, group chats, and roommate-matching services to connect with potential roommates before making a decision.

While the process can be nerve-wracking, students should remember that they are not alone.

Senior Valentina Sanseverino encourages students to stay positive.

“Finding roommates for your dorm can be stressful but just remember there are so many other people in the same situation as you, and you have so many people to pick from,” Sanseverino said.

Senior Caroline Johnson also advises students to take the initiative in their search.

“Don’t be afraid to reach out to people as well. Putting yourself out there allows you to meet new potential friends going to your college,” Johnson stated.

With patience and an open mind, most students can find a match that works for them.
