(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competed this month in different Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) events at the State Leadership Conference.
FCCLA is a national career and technical student organization for young men and women in family consumer sciences education.
STAR events are competitive events where members compete in different family consumer science categories by showcasing their projects, leadership, and career preparation.
All teams from LRHS placed and won medals with all but two teams qualifying for nationals. Students must place first or second in their event to qualify for nationals, which will be held in Orland, Florida this year.
