March 7, 2021

Good evening Panther families,

3rd quarter ends on Thursday, March 11th. Please check Focus to ensure your child is on track for success. There is no school on Friday, March 12th, which is record day for teachers. Spring break starts on Monday, March 15th through Friday, March 19th. School resumes on Monday, March 22nd. We are hoping everyone will have a great spring break!

Online registration for next year's classes has begun. 8th graders have been given the information for their registered high school and the information has also been added in the Power Up Panthers (PUP) Schoology group. Beginning on Monday, March 8th, 6th and 7th grade students will be given instructions on how to complete online registration in Focus for electives next year. STEAM applications can be submitted online and can be accessed on our website.

We have begun preparation for construction. After spring break, we are starting with the renovation of Building 6 and the addition of Building 8. Students taking classes in Building 6 will be directed to the Learning Cottages (portable classrooms) on the southeast portion of our campus. Teachers will inform students of the new location before leaving for break. This will be their new home until the end of the year. During the summer, Building 1 (main entrance) will be restructured and the cafeteria will be expanded. All buildings will be newly renovated prior to the start of the 2022-2023 school year..

This week, we will celebrate all Champions of Education! Thanks in advance to all who are planning to join in the celebration of our champion teachers, custodians, cafeteria workers and staff members. This has been a very challenging year, but they have all continued to provide service with a smile. If you are still interested in sharing a video for our champions, please send to Mr. Baietto at

Thank you for your contributions to our spring donation drive. The last day for donations will be Tuesday, March 9th and the winning classes will be rewarded on Thursday, March 11th.

On Monday, March 8th, try-outs for flag football and volleyball will begin after school and end at 6:00 pm.

On Tuesday, March 9th, we will have Spirit Night at Culver's on state road 70 from 5-8 pm. This is a drive up event only. Thanks in advance for your support.

United Way student days will be held on Monday through Wednesday of this week. Students can donate $1 to wear a hat on Monday, $1 to wear pajamas on Tuesday or $5 to spin the wheel of prizes on Wednesday. Top donors will be invited to the fun events on Thursday.

Builders Club is selling water before school each day. The proceeds will be donated to the Thirst Project. If your child does not have a water bottle, this is certainly a good option.

This is a reminder if your child is sick or has symptoms, has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or has been tested for Covid-19, he or she should be kept home. Please contact the school to inform us and have your child access his or her work through Schoology or by emailing their teachers.

As always, thank you for your cooperation, patience, understanding and support. We are the home of the Panthers, where we believe and achieve.

Best regards,

Mrs. Zenon-Richardson

Proud Principal
