Panther families,

Good evening! This is a reminder that students will take the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) Writing this week. Elearners are scheduled for morning & afternoon sessions on Monday, April 5th, 8th graders on Tuesday, April 6th and 6th & 7th graders on Wednesday, April 7th. For on campus learners all testing will take place in homeroom classes. Students practiced going to homeroom on Thursday and will do so again on tomorrow in preparation for testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students can find their homeroom in Focus if they were absent and not familiar. We ask that students get a good night's rest, have a well-balanced breakfast, and arrive to school on time on their testing day. Breakfast is also available at school to all students for free. Students have been well prepared and will be successful. The key to this test is reading the passages and thoroughly answering the prompt using evidence from the text.

Volleyball & flag football games will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at home against Lee Middle School and on Thursday, April 8th against Haile Middle School as an away game. The cost of admission is $2 for students and $3 for adults and all students must be accompanied by an adult. We ask that all spectators practice social distancing and wear masks, especially in the gym where the seats will be marked. We are very excited to kick off our season this week!

Mark your calendars for School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting on Tuesday, April 13th at 5:30 pm via Zoom-more details will be forthcoming and Spirit Night at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on State Road 70 from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, April 14th. We look forward to seeing you there!

As a reminder, please keep your child home if he or she is sick or has symptoms, has been tested or anyone in the home has been tested for Covid-19, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. Please call the school to let us know and have your child work in Schoology or email his or her teachers for the work. While at home, it is important to stay caught up.

As always, thank you for your patience, understanding, cooperation and support. We are the home of the Panthers, where we believe and achieve!

Best regards,

Mrs. Zenon-Richardson
