Panther families,

It's hard to believe we are in the last week of school. Thursday, May 27th is the last day for students. Even though there have been many challenges, it has been a great year!

High School credit classes will have semester exams & make up testing for FSA, SSA & EOCs will continue this week

All library books, textbooks, Chromebooks, and any other issued items will need to be turned in and all fines will need to be paid prior to the end of the year. eLearners will receive more information on the collection days and times for Chromebooks & hotspots.

Tomorrow, Monday, May 24th is the last day students are allowed to bring backpacks. On Tuesday, May 25th, Wednesday, May 26th & Thursday, May 27th, which are early release days with students being dismissed at 2:40 pm, backpacks are not allowed. They can; however, bring in books, assignments, and devices that need to be turned in. They can also bring their writing utensil, water bottle, and electronic device, which they will have to carry around with them on those days. All other items will be confiscated as they enter the school, and students will need to be responsible for picking them up at the end of the day.

On Monday, May 24th, awards will be given to students who have earned the principal's award in all grades, Presidential award in 8th grade & the Golden Panther award in 8th grade. Awards will be given each period in ELA classes and the Golden Panther will be broadcast on our morning news show. eLearners can watch the news in Schoology for the big announcement! Perfect attendance awards will be given on the last day of school.

On Tuesday, May 25th, the 8th grade farewell celebration will be held after school. Eligible students can still RSVP. And if ineligible for fines or unexcused absences, students can pay fines or provide excused notes to adjust their eligibility by tomorrow.

Yearbooks are selling out fast! Please visit our website to make a purchase.

Let's finish the year strong with good grades and great behavior. Discipline infractions can result in consequences which may go into the next school year so students should make good choices.

Students should continue to dress for success by wearing their lanyard and ID, appropriate attire & mask. Cell phones must be off & stored away and only taken out when permission is given.

If your child is sick or has symptoms, has been tested or has been in the home with someone who has tested for Covid-19, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, he or she must stay home. Please contact the school to let us know and have your child complete their final assignments in Schoology or email his or her teachers for directions.

As always, thank you for your cooperation and support. We are the home of the Panthers, where we believe and achieve!

Best regards,

Mrs. Zenon-Richardson

Proud Principal
