Manatee County's JROTC Raiders earn top spots at State Championship
Manatee County's high school JROTC teams brought home top awards from the 2022 Florida State Raider Challenge in Polk County.
Teams are divided into three categories based on their program size. Tier 1 is large, Tier 2 is medium and Tier 3 is small.
Here are the results for Manatee County Schools:
Bayshore High School Runners-Up
- Second Place (Overall) - Male, Tier 3 - Runners-up out of 11 Raider teams
- First Place (Male) in Team Run event
- Second Place (Male) in Rope Bridge, X-Country Rescue and Tire Flip events
Braden River High School State Champions
- First Place (Overall) - Mixed (Female & Male), Tier 2 - Top performers out of nine Raider teams
- First Place (Mixed) in Rope Bridge, X-Country Rescue, Tire Flip and Team Run events
Lakewood Ranch High School State Champions
- First Place (Overall) - Female, Tier 3 - Top performers out of nine Raider teams
- First Place (Female) in X-Country Rescue, Tire Flip and Mystery events
- Third Place (Female) in Rope Bridge event
Manatee High School State Champions
- First Place (Overall) - Male, Tier 2 - Top performers out of nine Raider teams
- Second Place (Overall) - Female, Tier 2 - Runners-up out of nine Raider teams
- First Place (Female) in Tire Flip event
- First Place (Male) in Tire Flip and Team Run events
- Second Place (Female) in Rope Bridge and Team Run events
- Second Place (Male) in Rope Bridge, X-Country Rescue and Mystery events
Palmetto High School State Champions
- First Place (Overall) - Male, Tier 1 - Top performers out of 10 Florida Raider teams
- First Place (Overall) - Female, Tier 1 - Top performers out of six Florida Raider teams
- First Place (Female) in X-Country Rescue, Tire Flip and Team Run events
- First Place (Male) in Rope Bridge, X-Country Rescue and Tire Flip events
- Second Place (Female) in Rope Bridge event
- Second Place (Male) in Mystery event
In addition, Southeast High School earned Third Place (Mixed - Female & Male), Tier 1 - Tire Flip event
