Bayshore Elementary spreads holiday cheer with help from community

Bayshore Elementary opened a holiday toy shop for every student at the school on Thursday.

According to Assistant Principal Ariana Kennedy, the brand new gifts came from the local Toys for Tots campaign, as well as community members.

There were skateboards, dolls, drones, arts and crafts, jewelry, board games, LEGO sets, sports equipment and more.

"Will this be open next year?" one student asked Principal Bernadette Pletcher.

She answered, "As long as I'm here, there will be a toy shop every year!"

Here are the sights and sounds from inside the toy shop:

Happy Holidays to staff, students and families from the school district's Communications and Good News Team!
