SABLE students blast into Spring Break with inaugural field day event at Harllee Center

The staff of SABLE (School of Academic and Behavioral Learning Excellence) at Harllee Center wanted to reward students for their hard work this year, thus far.

On March 22nd, a field day was held for kindergarten through fifth grade to provide kids with two hours of fun following their academic lessons.

It’s the first time any such event was held, according to physical education teacher Wilfredo Rosario, who was proud that teachers from other classes participated.

There were games, such as relay races, an egg hunt, and a pogo jump, and prizes included medals and toys.

Students even carefully crafted paper pizzas to use in relay races.

Medal earners include Jaceyon, Ryan, Neil, Zariyah, Ryder, and William. Way to go, Mustangs!

The day was complete with icy cold treats – and big smiles as students left for Spring Break.
