Bayshore High journalism advisor named FSPA District Five Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Bayshore High School teacher and journalism advisor, Jean Faulk, for being named "Teacher of the Year" by the Florida Scholastic Press Association.

She is the only one to earn the honor in a 10-county region (District Five) including Charlotte, Lee and Sarasota.

In the latest edition of Bayshore's student-led newspaper, Paw Print, outgoing Executive Editor Meah Hird thanks Ms. Faulk for being a mentor and a friend.

As Meah goes off to college with hopes of becoming a journalist, she gives tribute by writing that Ms. Faulk's classroom is her favorite on campus.

Thanks for inspiring students!
