On Wednesday, Dr. Wysong had a special mission while visiting Myakka City Elementary.

He sought out the young artist whose work he had handpicked at MAEC's Art Rise and Shine Breakfast last November.

Among 200 pieces of framed artwork, her piece stood out to him.

Dr. Wysong requested her signature on the artwork, so he could proudly display it in his office.

The talented artist's art teacher is Stephanie Guevara.
