School District of Manatee County teachers and staff welcome back students for 2024-25 year

The School District of Manatee County kicked off another exciting school year on Monday, August 12, 2024. 

It was a great FIRST DAY at Tillman Elementary School with lots of hugs, smiles and excitement. 

Superintendent Wysong stopped by to congratulate administrators, teachers and students for earning their first “A” grade in school history.

Parrish Community High welcomed students for the first day of school on Monday.
 
A new banner is hanging at the front of the school congratulating staff and students for their hard work earning an “A” grade.
 
Superintendent Dr. Wysong joined Principal Bradshaw and toured several classrooms and the cafeteria.

This year is going to be JAW-some at Moody Elementary School!

There’s a media center renovation underway with a new TV studio, and the school is filled with incredible teachers and staff.

The last stop on Superintendent Wysong’s "Back to School" tour was Lee Middle School.
 
He and School Board Chair Chad Choate toured classrooms, thanked custodial staff and witnessed innovative educators in action.
