Southeast High Seminoles celebrate big win with new AstroTurf football field

The Seminoles celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony before Friday night's football game on Paul Maechtle field. Look at the beautiful new turf!

The legendary football coach, who retired in 2013 after leading the Seminoles for 33 years, cut the ribbon alongside Superintendent Jason Wysong, Reginald Goff (Director of Construction Services), Principal Ginger Collins, Assistant Principals Craig Page and Michael Perez and Athletic Director Matt Kitchie.

Representatives were also there from Tandum Construction, the company which installed the new AstroTurf field at Southeast.

The home team dominated 52-6 over Central High (Brooksville) after storms delayed the start of the game.

The announcer was none other than Coach Maechtle.

Excitement filled the air as the marching band, Nolettes, and cheerleaders, welcomed their first win of the season.

Best of luck to Head Football Coach Curt Bradley and the Noles this year!
