Manatee Strong: Stories of service and support following two recent hurricanes
In the heart of Manatee County, the scars left by Hurricanes Helene and Milton touched us all.
As the storms receded, the warm sunshine returned with the rise of action by unsung heroes.
Our social media platforms became a canvas, painted with stories of compassion, kindness, and solidarity.
Many high school students redirected their energy and volunteer hours to help those battered by the storms.
The young leaders of our middle schools stood united in helping to restore the splendor of our barrier islands.
Finally, the innocent hearts of elementary students lead them to turn bracelets into support for homeowners in distress.
Our community remains Manatee Strong, and each day brings the promise of recovery, together, one heartfelt day at a time.
