Representatives from the School District of Manatee County were honored to receive the prestigious Education Award for Outstanding Organization this week from the Guy Harvey Foundation.
At a vibrant event in Fort Lauderdale, Jessica Harvey presented our team with a stunning, signed painting of manatees by her father, the renowned artist and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey. This beautiful piece will be proudly displayed at the Professional Support Center for two weeks, home to most of the school district's instructional departments.
The Guy Harvey Foundation’s Love the Blue Gala raises funds for ocean research, education, and conservation. The awards celebrate the incredible work of educators and organizations dedicated to marine science and environmental education.
During the event, Ms. Harvey showcased a video highlighting the innovative Guy Harvey programs in action within Manatee County schools. The partnership, which began in 2022, has brought the Guy Harvey curriculum and career pathways to students at Anna Maria Elementary, King Middle, and Manatee High.
