High school seniors gather for Superintendent's annual student leadership forum
On Thursday, Palmetto High School proudly hosted the Superintendent's 2nd annual Student Leadership Forum.
This prestigious event brought together seven outstanding seniors, each selected by their school administrators to represent all of Manatee County's seven high schools.
These exceptional students, who excel in academics, athletics, student government, JROTC, and more, led insightful discussions with their peers on crucial topics related to their educational experience.
The forum covered a range of subjects, including school safety, college and career planning, and technology.
Additionally, the students were asked to share their advice for future high school students, teachers, and families.
The valuable feedback gathered from these discussions will be made available to School Board members and district administrators as they plan for the future.
Seniors also shared lunch with a variety of district professionals, who all graduated from Manatee County schools.
Students were engaged in conversations about the similarities and differences from one campus to the next.
They enjoyed meeting and sharing ideas with each other and district leaders, as they set out to embark on the next steps of their educational journey.
The future is bright for these young leaders!
