For the second time during the 2024-2025 school year, a group of Parrish Community High student athletes were named Academic Team State Champions!

The Bulls’ girls weightlifting team led the state with a cumulative team GPA of 3.745 in Class 3A.
The FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association) announced the winter academic standings earlier this month.
Winter sports include basketball, soccer, girls weightlifting, wrestling, and competitive cheer.
Last fall, Parrish Community High School’s volleyball team earned the top spot in the state for their sport with a cumulative GPA of 3.811.
Other Manatee County student athletes aren’t far behind.

Parrish Community’s boys basketball team earned fourth place in their sport (Class 6A) with a cumulative team GPA of 3.425.
Lakewood Ranch High School’s boys basketball program is in sixth place (Class 6A) with 3.355 team GPA.

The FHSAA Academic Team Champion recognition program celebrates not only athletic prowess but also the spirit of teamwork and academic dedication.
Schools with the highest cumulative point totals for the entire school year are honored with special awards.
Lakewood Ranch High is currently in second place in Florida’s current overall classification standings for Class 6A Schools.
PCHS is currently in fifth place for the same classification.
As the academic year progresses, the student athletes and coaches of Manatee County continue to strive for greatness.
