Exciting news for PCHS at recent School Board Meeting

Brooklynn Deckman - PCHS Bulletin

Parrish Community High School got some exciting news from the Manatee County School Board meeting held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

For starters, the Board removed the “interim” title from Principal Daniel Bradshaw, officially making him the full-time principal at Parrish Community High School.

Bradshaw was named interim principal on May 22, 2023, replacing Craig Little, who is now in an administrative position with the district. Little had been principal since PCHS opened in 2019.

Bradshaw had served as assistant principal at Palmetto High School since 2019. Prior to that tenure, he was the International Baccalaureate Coordinator and athletic director at Southeast High School, and a math teacher at T.L Hanna High School in South Carolina.

We covered Bradshaw earlier this year during his transition to become principal. To learn more about Bradshaw, check out this article:

In other news, the School Board welcomed student representatives from each school that attended the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Forum on March 5. The event was held for nominated seniors to connect with community and district leaders and participate in discussions about topics ranging from health to safety.

Seven seniors, one from each school in the district (Parrish, Palmetto, Braden River, Manatee, Bayshore, Lakewood Ranch, Southeast), were present at the April 23 meeting. They spoke about their experience at the event and what their plans were after graduation.

Representing Parrish Community High School at the board meeting was Jack Davis, the executive officer of the Bulls Battalion. Davis obtained a scholarship to the University of Alaska Fairbanks and intends to become an Army Aviation Officer in the Alaska National Guard.
