New College Advisor Joins the Team to Guide the Bulls to Success

Senior year is exciting and new opportunities are around the corner, but it can also be stressful. With Common App officially open, college applications have become the center of attention. Seniors are working hard to finish all the requirements needed for applications.
Parrish Community High School wants to see their seniors succeed and measures are taken to ensure that happens. Resources like the senior class Schoology page, Senior Advisory Board, senior meetings, and a college and career advisor.
Victoria Hedgepeth is the new college and career advisor here at PCHS. This will be her first year here, but she has been an advisor for 3 years. Hedgepeth guides seniors on which colleges would be best for them and how to create strong applications to those colleges.
She also assists with financial aid and how to navigate FAFSA, and she finds scholarships that are curate for seniors. Hedgepeth holds FAFSA nights to help parents understand how they can receive financial aid to help their child get through college.
“My goal in this position is to get the students as prepared as they can to go on to the next level” said Hedgepeth.
Hedgepeth is dedicated to helping all seniors with any questions they may have.
“I am most excited to see students get into schools they really hoped to get into and receive big scholarships” said Hedgepeth.
FAFSA nights will be in October and January. Parents and students are encouraged to attend. Hedgepeth will also be going around to seniors' classes to discuss what she offers and how to work the common app.
