To be eligible for this award, graduating seniors must have a 3.5 unweighted GPA (grade point average) and earned at least two varsity letters in two different sports during their junior and senior years.

Recipients were selected based on their athletic participation, academic record, extracurricular activities, community service and essay.

Alexandra Lowery earned a 3.96 GPA and is ranked second in her graduating class.

She has been awarded the Yale Book Award and the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award.

Throughout her four years at Southeast, Alexandra participated in flag football, soccer, and swimming.

She’s an active member in the Southeast Television program, Seminole Pride, National Honor Society and earned 1,300 community service hours with Foundation for Dreams, a non-profit organization which celebrates the abilities and skills of children with special needs and chronic illnesses.

Alexandra plans to attend LSU (Louisiana State University) in Baton Rouge and study kinesiology, which incorporates the sciences of anatomy, physiology, sociology and psychology when looking at the effect of movement on the body.

Each Florida Dairy Farmers Academic All-State Team member will be recognized at a banquet on June 3rd and receive a $1,700 scholarship and commemorative medallion.

One female and one male athlete will also be named the Ronald N. Davis Scholar-Athletes of the Year, the FHSAA’s most prestigious honor for student athletes.

We're extremely proud of Alexandra's accomplishments and wish her the best in the near future and beyond!
