Three cheers for the champs! A spectacular celebration for Lee Middle School boys and girls basketball teams on Friday, April 5, 2024, as BOTH teams won the county championship titles.
The Manatee High Sugar Canes, Southeast High Nolettes and the Seminoles' Band joined the spirited pep rally.
Lee Middle dancers performed in front of students, who cheered from the stands.
Players and coaches Daryl Mackey (Boys), Melissa Causey (Girls) and others, received a personalized team jacket as proud families and teachers watched on.
The day ended with action on the court between the champs and Lee alumni players, who came from Bayshore and Manatee High Schools.
Congratulations to all who were involved in this program and encouraging young athletes to succeed! Go, Bolts.
