The first few weeks of school at McNeal Elementary weren't only about textbooks and classrooms, but also about the heartwarming glow of community spirit.
A "Back to School" Glow Party on the evening of August 16th was a radiant success, with students and families participating in a variety of activities.
The event served as a beacon of support for Hurricane Debby relief.
Families were encouraged to bring donations of gift cards from local businesses and restaurants, which would be distributed to residents of Summerfield Bluffs, a nearby neighborhood which suffered catastrophic flooding.
School administrators said the overwhelming donations received are a testament to the kindness that thrives within our community.
Representatives from PTO and SAC personally delivered gift cards, along with rainbow ornaments handmade by McNeal third-graders, to the Lakewood Ranch residents.
The McNeal Wildcats have indeed made a significant difference, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can illuminate the darkest of times.
Together, we glow stronger. Together, we make a difference.
