From Palmetto to Petco Park! Former Tiger signs MLB contract
From the little league to the big leagues, Manatee County’s own Colton Vincent signed with the San Diego Padres.

The 2018 Palmetto High graduate penned his name to a free agent contract Sunday in Arizona, where he also began workouts at the Padres’ spring training home.

Vincent most recently played for FSU (Florida State University) Baseball, where he batted .273 with 51 starts at catcher in 54 games, as a redshirt senior.
Proud parents, Mike and Kathy Vincent, are longtime employees of the School District of Manatee County.

Their most recent family photo marks a memorable occasion as Colton wore his new brown and gold pinstripes.
“I don’t even know what to say,” said Mike Vincent, in a social media post. “Super proud of you Colton, you’re on your way!”
