More than 3,100 Manatee County students, parents, family members and friends flocked to Manatee Technical College on Saturday, July 29, 2023, to participate in the districts’ Back-to-School Community Resource Fair. 

During the four-hour event, more than 2,000 free backpacks were distributed; more than 100 free school physicals, eye and dental exams were performed: approximately 90,000 pounds of food was distributed and about 70 free haircuts were given.

Over 20 local community organizations volunteered their time and resources to help students and families in our community get ready for the start of school on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
