The Mustangs mark their Silver Anniversary!
Lakewood Ranch High School opened its doors to learning on August 24, 1998.
A pep rally was held Thursday in the courtyard to celebrate.
Four original teachers remain on campus, including Bobbi Colson, Tom Honsa, Melissa Koehlinger and Bryan Thomas.
Tom Honsa is a journalism teacher and advisor for Mustangs Ahead, a digital publication sharing news from "Around the Ranch".
Mustangs Ahead's anniversary story, "Science teacher reflects back on 25 years of LRHS", is located at this link.
Well wishes came from former students and teachers via social media.
As a student who attended that inaugural year, it was a great and memorable experience laying foundations at LRHS. I had Colson for Law, and Thomas for Biology too. Happy Anniversary, LRHS!
