There were smiles. There were hugs. There were raffle prizes! The 2023 School District of Manatee County Transportation Conference is underway.
A general session kicked off Wednesday at Manatee High School.
Bus drivers, bus aides, route administrators, vehicle mechanics and other transportation staff gathered in the Davis Building Auditorium.
The MHS Hurricane Battalion presented the colors before new superintendent, Dr. Jason Wysong, addressed attendees.
He spoke about the importance of safety and the need for everyone to support each other as a team.
The rest of the conference will include mandatory training before taking those big yellow buses on the road again.
We thank our bus drivers and transportation staff for their commitment to caring for Manatee County students.
