Friday, October 13, 2023, was Teacher Record Day, so students were off from school. The district's Food and Nutrition Services Department used the day for professional learning at Manatee High School.
More than 350 employees took part in breakout sessions, a special speaker and lunch from Sonny's BBQ served to them by District and Department leaders.
Sponsors covered the cost of the lunch and the theme of the day was "Customer Service and Teamwork".
