Middle school students run their hearts out at district cross country meet

Hundreds of middle school runners, their families, coaches and school administrators, gathered for a county-wide cross country meet at G.T. Bray Park on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

 

The two-mile run started with a lap around the soccer fields, then over the footbridge into a wooded area in the park, with a finish near the amphitheater.

 

The following Manatee County middle schools participated: Braden River Middle, Buffalo Creek Middle, Dr. Mona Jain Middle, Johnson K-8, King Middle, Lee Middle, Nolan Middle, Palm View K-8 and Sugg Middle.

 

Dozens of young runners qualified to compete in the Florida Middle School Cross County Championship on October 27th and 28th in Lakeland.
