A good crowd of students, parents and family members turned out for Sea Breeze Elementary’s Fall Family Engagement Night on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
The students and families were invited to have a free dinner, view first quarter science fair and art projects and take part in math activities that reflected quarter one math standards. There was also a special story time where staff read “Martina the Beautiful Cockroach: A Cuban Folktale.”
Two of the school’s clubs had booths set up: K-Kids for recruitment and the SAVE Promise Club had a booth where students could make cards for veterans.
A variety of community resource agencies were also on hand to provide information, including the Children's Home Society, Women's Resource Center, Manatee Technical College and the YMCA.
“We are grateful for the positive turnout we had from families and community partners,” said Principal Aliki Bovoletis. “We can't wait to have our spring Family Engagement Night in February.”
