McCray graduated in 2019 and was drafted with the 87th pick of the third round of the MLB draft. While he was in the minor leagues, he played for many different teams in the Giants’ system
McCray’s most notable year was in 2022 when he played for two minor league teams affiliated with the Giants and had a batting average of 289, a slugging percentage of 514, 79 RBIs, and 23 home runs across 120 games
